Music Videos

Performed by Josh Mogren and Basses Wild Men's A Cappella from the University of Minnesota, these first two songs are original songs created for the CF Community exclusively for the "Moganko For Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Project". Both videos feature great performances by professional puppeteer Elysia Hansel.

From the moment of diagnosis, a person with cystic fibrosis has to take, pills, pills and more pills every day. Many people with CF have to take enzymes whenever they eat to help them absorb their food, take antibiotics to heal their bodies and do a whole bunch of other stuff every day just to stay healthy!

"Take Your Pills" is a friendly, funky, doo wop song with a hip hop feel that empowers the CF Community to keep up with the daily grind that comes with having cystic fibrosis.

People with the genetic disease Cystic Fibrosis use different types of airway clearance therapy to cough out the mucus that sticks in their lungs which could cause severe lung infections.

"The Respiratory Therapy Song" is a friendly, fast-paced doo wop song that empowers the CF Community to keep up the daily grind that comes with having cystic fibrosis.

Joshland Rap!© Feat. Rose Logue & the W2J Posse

One day I asked myself what's the most ridiculous thing I could do to entertain and educate the kids. This is what I came up with. The Joshland Rap is all about optimistic realism when dealing with cystic fibrosis and was a lot of fun to write. I'm particularly fond of  how I rhymed "cystic fibrosis" with "halitosis".

It was recorded in my own home using Garageband and features a vocal hook by my wonderful CF friend, Rose Logue. She went out of her way to record this out in California and send it to me. Her voice makes this song sound better than I ever could have imagined! You can check her out at RosieRecords.com

Joshland Rap!© LIVE "Basses Wild Beatbox Mix"

This is the LIVE (yet abbreviated) version of the "Joshland Rap!" from the University of Minnesota's CF Education Day. It features Basses Wild beatboxers Drew and Max. It's a little know fact that we only practiced this once 5 minutes before we performed. Not too shabby!

Take Your Pills!© LIVE at the University of Minnesota's CF Education Day

This is the first ever live performance of "Take Your Pills" on 11/22/2011. Plus you get to hear me babble a little bit after the song about my volunteers and about the project. Enjoy!
